First On-line Casting for an European Movie

Dublin, 8th of March 2007: Dublin based Campbell Ryan Productions and European interactive Producer beActive teamed to develop the First On-line Casting for Final Punishment, a thriller/horror themed European Movie.

Women between 18 to 54 years old, that love movies and want the chance to star in a feature film then simply grab their mobile phone and record an audition video. It only takes a few seconds and a good scary scream. After they screamed themselves out, candidates should send their Video screaming audition masterpiece to casting@finalpunishment.net before April 30th 2007. The scariest screams will be posted on the film website, to be voted by an On-line Community.

Producers are looking for 8 actresses to play the parts of the 8 main characters in the film, a thriller/horror type of story set in a Women’s prison. To help candidates to get all the information about the Movie and the casting process, the producing company set up a Web site available at www.finalpunishment.net. To let fans be part of the development of the movie the producers also created a MySPACE community page available at www.myspace.com/finalpunishment and also posted some Video examples already received for the On-line Casting at www.youtube.com/finalpunish

The Story of Final Punishment
Eight women convicted for violent crimes find themselves trapped in a prison where there are no rules and where darkness has only one meaning – death. A shapeless executor is killing the convicts in the same way they committed their crimes. As the mysterious deaths mount up, suspicion grows amongst the prisoners. In a race against time, they will have to overcome rivalries and dig back into their past to find the missing link that can set them free. Who brought them there and what for? Will they be able to escape alive? Or will the merciless punisher make them all pay for their crimes?

About the Film Companies:
Final Punishment is an Irish-Portuguese Co-Production Film, co-produced by Campbell Ryan Productions (Ireland) and beActive Productions (Portugal). The film will be shot in May ’07 with an Irish cast of actors on location in a prison outside of Lisbon, Portugal.
